My father is a prophetic-philosopher poet who served God by serving people in 14 different churches in 7 states for over 50 years. As a young man, he marched in the civil rights protests in Orangeburg, SC, and for many years he was the president of the local chapter of the NAACP in the town where I grew up. My mother is a business woman who left a career to raise 3 sons. My older brother is an educator, and my younger brother is also a pastor. My life has been shaped by the values of service, sacrifice, and commitment to the greater good.
I am married to the former Andrea Monique Whitfield, a native of East Saint Louis, IL. She is a senior human resource professional with more than 20 years of managerial experience. She is also an entrepreneur, real estate investor and life-long advocate for foster children.
I have over 25 years of pastoral experience in churches of all sizes and denominational stripes. I currently serve as the lead pastor of Resurrection Church in Carson, CA, which I founded in 2007. I am also blessed to provide spiritual guidance to professional athletes as the Chaplain of the Los Angeles Clippers. Millions across the globe are inspired by our television broadcasts that air on the Impact and Word Networks.
I live in the entertainment capital of the world. After realizing the importance of films to inform, motivate, and transform audiences, I started N3Days Media, Inc in 2013. We have produced 3 short films, one of which was honored with an award at the 168 Film Festival.
I create opportunities for young people to further their educational and career aspirations. I create opportunities for institutions and community minded leaders to discuss issues and solve problems that affect the common good. And I create opportunities for visionaries to bring their dreams to life.
I am blessed with two amazing sons, Malachi and Caleb. Both of them are well-rounded, strategic thinkers who are leaders of their peers, and in love with Jesus.
